Our History

TYLORSTOWN WERE FOUDER MEMBERS OF THE WELSH YOUTH RUGBY UNION AND THE MID DISTRICT RUGBY UNION.

THE CLUB HAS PLAYED AT PENRHYS PARK SINCE 1934.

THE CLUBHOUSE WAS OPENED IN 1964 BY THE CLUB PRESIDENT ELFED DAVIES MP. A FORMER PLAYER WHOM BECAME LORD DAVIES OF PENRHYS IN 1974 UNTIL HIS DEATH.

THE CURRENT PRESIDENT TERRY WILLIAMS HAS SERVED THE WELSH SCHOOLS RUGBY UNION AND RHONDDA SCHOOLS RUGBY UNION FOR OVER 40 YEARS.

THE CURRENT CLUB SECRETARY LIONEL LANGFORD IS NOW THE LONGEST PRESENT SERVING CLUB SECRETARY IN THE W.R.U.

THE CLUB HAS THE UNIQUE RECORD OF BEING THE FIRST CLUB IN THE MID DISTRICT TO RUN A SECOND XV, THIRD XV, WOMENS XV AND YOUTH XV
